Our Chiropractors

Thomas Lawrence, Clinic Owner

(MChiro)

I’m Tom, the principal chiropractor at Goose Chiropractic and Wellbeing Centre. I graduated with a Master of Chiropractic degree in 2012, and before opening Goose Lane Clinic in 2013, I had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team in Scunthorpe.

I run the clinics with my wife, my mum, and our dream team. We have two wonderful “chiro kids,” Rosie and Peter, whom you’ll likely see around the clinic getting adjusted. Our dog, Izzy, also makes frequent appearances and loves nothing more than a belly scratch at reception.

My journey with chiropractic began when I was 12 years old, and my whole family started seeing a chiropractor. I had my first adjustment and never looked back! Chiropractic not only keeps me feeling my best but also leaves me energized and connected to life. The potential our bodies hold amazes me every day.

Early in my career, I focused primarily on sports performance, helping athletes function at their peak. I’ve worked with Team GB swimmers preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games, and I participated in a research project with the Welsh Rugby Union. I still work with a range of professional and semi-professional athletes daily, which I really enjoy. However, sports are just one aspect of my practice. I love the variety within our clinic community, seeing everyone from newborn babies to elderly individuals who are young at heart.

The reason we’re able to serve such a diverse range of people is that chiropractic doesn’t “treat” any single ailment. Instead, it helps boost each person’s natural ability to express their fullest potential—whether that’s in healing, thriving, or simply getting the most out of life and their activities. Chiropractic care is safe and effective for all ages, with care tailored completely to each individual’s needs.

Seeing people positively transform and get more out of life makes me incredibly proud of what I do. I also love presenting educational chiropractic talks to the public to share knowledge, success stories, and answer any questions you may have. Drop me a line if this is something that interests you!

Dr. Kal Hammond-Race

(Doctor of Chiropractic) (MChiro)
Chiropractor

Meet Kal

Hi, I’m Kal.

I graduated with distinction in my Master’s of Chiropractic degree in 2021. Having been part of the Goose Lane team since 2017, you may have seen me around the clinic for quite a while now! I completed my studies at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, where I thoroughly enjoyed learning the skills of chiropractic, embracing new opportunities, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

What I love about chiropractic is how it allows people to get the best out of their bodies. I enjoy working with practice members to help them realize their potential and supporting them on that journey.

Physical exercise is one of my biggest passions, and I love exploring the benefits it brings. I enjoy a variety of activities and sports and am always up for trying new ways to exercise or spend time outdoors. Whether it’s time in the gym, playing team sports, hiking, climbing, or—my personal favourite—skiing, I’m happiest when I’m active and outdoors.

Dr. Jame Noble

(Doctor of Chiropractic) (MChiro)
Chiropractor

Meet James

Hi, I’m James.

I am a chiropractor who graduated in 2009 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic.

For a large part of my career, I worked at a great clinic in Scunthorpe, where I live. In 2023, I moved to Goose Chiropractic, and I’ve loved every second of working with such a fantastic team. I look forward to many more years here!

I first discovered chiropractic when I was 13 after struggling with a bad back. I visited my GP, who couldn’t help, and then a physiotherapist, who told me I was misaligned but couldn’t offer further assistance. Finally, I found a chiropractor, and after a few sessions, I was feeling much better. I was amazed at how much I improved without the need for medication or surgery.

I began studying chiropractic as a “mature” (maybe!) student at 22. At the time, I was working on an oil refinery and considering an engineering degree when I discovered chiropractic. I’ve never looked back.

I’m also known for my passion for running and triathlon. I’ve competed in the Marathon Des Sables—a 150-mile race across the Sahara Desert—and recently represented Team GB in the world age group triathlon championships in Ibiza. I recognise the mental and physical health benefits that an active lifestyle brings, though I certainly don’t expect my practice members to take on such distances!

Another passion of mine is seeing the improvements my practice members make through their care. I believe chiropractic goes far beyond relieving pain and see regular chiropractic care as essential for maintaining health, flexibility, and overall well-being.

I look forward to helping you on your journey.

James

Dr Luke Whatling

(Doctor of Chiropractic) (MSc Chiropractic)
Chiropractor

Meet Luke

Chiropractic is a big part of my life—there are seven chiropractors in my family! No surprises it’s a common topic of conversation when we’re all together. Growing up in this environment gave me a real appreciation for how incredible the body is and so I followed the family’s chosen career path!

When I’m not in the clinic, I’m a keen hockey player, an average cricketer and all round sports fan. In practice, my focus is on helping people get back to doing what they love, I’m also a bit of a chiropractic geek — I’m always  trying to learn how to develop and improve what I do.

Soft Tissue Therapists

Brooke

(BSc Sports Therapy, MSc Sports Medicine)
Head Clinician & Soft Tissue Therapist

Meet Brooke

Hi, I’m Brooke, the Lead Clinician and a Sports and Exercise Therapist at Goose Chiropractic. I’ve been working at the clinic since 2018, after graduating from Leeds Beckett University with a degree in Sports Therapy and a Master’s in Sports Medicine. I absolutely love a good natter about anything and everything, especially hearing the stories and experiences people have gathered over the years. I like to think of myself as a “glass half full” kind of person and always try to see the positives in most situations. You’ll usually find me on a day out with family, spending time with friends, or talking about food (I have a real sweet tooth and love a good pie!).

I absolutely love my job, especially because it allows me to meet and work with people from all walks of life—from mums and dads to great-grandparents! Whatever your reason for coming into the clinic, we’ll always look at you as a person and consider your body as a whole to create personalised goals for you to work towards. I can’t wait to help you create yours and guide you on your journey to better health and wellness!

Heidi

(BSc Sports Therapy)
Soft Tissue Therapist

Meet Heidi

Hi, I’m Heidi, and I’m a Sports and Exercise Therapist.

I graduated from University College Birmingham in 2015 with a degree in Sports Therapy, and I’ve been working at the clinic since 2016. During my time here, I’ve worked with a variety of practice members, from those recovering from injuries to those simply aiming to improve their general health and wellbeing. Since having my two children, I’ve also completed further training in pregnancy massage and developed a keen interest in pre- and post-natal care.

In my spare time, I’m usually either spending time with my family or crocheting!

Beth

(BSc Sports Therapy)
Soft Tissue Therapist

Meet Beth

Hi, I’m Beth, a Sports and Exercise Therapist at Goose Chiropractic.

I graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2020 with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree. I have a background in a range of sports, from boxing to horse riding and everything in between! I joined the clinic in 2021 and focus on the whole body and nervous system as a collective, with a speciality in neuromuscular function. My goal is to provide the best care and achieve meaningful progress with each practice member I see. I’m deeply passionate about my career and love making a positive impact on people’s lives every day, being part of their journey to wellness.

I’m a social butterfly who loves a good chit-chat and will always greet you with a smile and bubbly personality. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog in the countryside and have a keen interest in motorsports and boxing. I thrive on working with a wide range of practice members, and my experience includes professional boxing, football, rugby, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and gymnastics. But I love working with everyone who comes into the clinic—as long as you’re up for a good natter! Together, we’ll work to achieve your goals and celebrate each milestone along the way.

Harrison

(BSc Sports Therapy)
Soft Tissue Therapist

Meet Harrison

Hi, I’m Harrison, and I’m a Sports Therapist at Goose Chiropractic.

I’ve always wanted a career that combines sport, health, and wellbeing, which led me to study Sport and Exercise Therapy at Leeds Beckett University. I successfully graduated in July 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

During my university placement, I worked with Rotherham United F.C. and Thornensians RUFC. I thrived in these roles, building my knowledge, skills, and experience in enhancing athletes’ health and wellbeing through sports massage and rehabilitation. Seeing the progress and results was incredibly rewarding.

In my spare time, I keep active by going to the gym, playing football, and spending time outdoors, especially walking in the Peak District. I’ve been a huge snooker fan from a young age and have played in the Sheffield snooker league, with the highlight of my career being a match against legends Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry.

I look forward to meeting all my new practice members and helping them achieve their optimal health through my care.

I’ve been working at the clinic since 2024, and I also work in professional football. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and genuinely love coming to work every day. On weekends, I love taking my dog, Kobe, a lively spaniel, out for long walks—he’s full of beans!

I graduated from Derby University in 2023, with a background in sports such as football, cricket, and rugby. I’m passionate about being a part of people’s health journeys and helping them achieve their goals.

Chiropractic Assistants

Helen

Chiropractic Assistant

Meet Helen

Hi, my name is Helen.

I was a practice member at the clinic for over a year before I started working here in 2018. My whole family attends the clinic for regular adjustments and soft tissue care—my grandson even started getting adjusted just a week after he was born! I love making our wonderful practice members laugh and helping them feel comfortable while they wait for their clinician.

Sasha

Chiropractic Assistant & Technician

Meet Sasha

Hey! I’m Sasha. I joined the team in April 2021 while studying for a Health Sciences degree, initially as a Chiropractic Assistant and Technician. I completed my degree in October 2022, and through my time here—learning about chiropractic and seeing the incredible changes it has made in people’s lives, including my own—I’ve been inspired to start my journey to become a chiropractor!

As a Technician, I especially love seeing practice members progress with their scans. It can be a really emotional experience, and I feel privileged to be part of it. The whole team is amazing, and the atmosphere in the clinic is so friendly and supportive—it really doesn’t feel like work. We’re all just one big, happy, mad family!

Jordan

Community Outreach & Chiropractic Technician

Meet Jordan

Hi, I’m Jordan. I’m currently working as a Chiropractic Assistant & Technician. My journey began with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, which fuelled my passion for health and wellness. Now, I’m on the path to becoming a chiropractor, combining my academic background with hands-on experience to support practice members in achieving optimal well-being.

Every day, I’m dedicated to learning and growing in my role, providing compassionate care and assistance to those under chiropractic care. I’m driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Claire

Chiropractic Assistant & Technician

Meet Claire

Hi, I’m Claire. I joined the clinic in October 2023 as a Chiropractic Assistant, and since then, I’ve also trained as a Technician. I particularly enjoy doing scans and learning about chiropractic care and the benefits it offers.

Before joining the clinic, I was a qualified dental nurse for 10 years. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the gym. As a family—my husband, two teenage boys, and I – love being outdoors, whether that’s walking our three dogs or going away in our campervan.

Zoe

Chiropractic Assistant & Technician

Meet

Hi my name is Zoe.

I’ve worked here since 2016. I originally started on reception and also have a background as a massage therapist. Now with my wide understanding of health and the body, I also run scans and assessments on our practice members allowing us to track their progress and tailor their care plans to them individually. I love learning about chiropractic and how it can change people’s lives. We have a great team here which actually feel more like a big family. The highlight of my day is meeting patients and their new babies (and pinching cuddles :))

Jo

Chiropractic assistant

Meet

Hi, Im Jo,

I live in Whiston with my husband and our pug Joey. I Joined the Goose family in 2019 and before that knew very little about the world of Chiropractic care. I feel the health benefits of the adjustments are amazing and everyone should try it. I love coming to work and meeting all the new practice members and seeing the difference and progress our practice members are feeling.

The Office Bods

Becky

Head of Operations

Meet Becky

Hi, I’m Becky, and I’m married to the wonderful Tom.

We have two chiro kids who you’ll often see around the clinic, ‘helping’ Daddy set up the beds!

I started my career as a primary teacher but decided to transition into the world of chiropractic after seeing Tom and the team build this amazing community—and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. It’s the best decision I ever made!

My role in the clinic has evolved over time. I began working at the front desk as a Chiropractic Assistant (CA) and running scans as a Chiropractic Technician (CT). I then led the Community Outreach team, which runs free health events for local businesses and groups. Now, I head up the marketing team and also serve as the Head of Operations. I love the variety in my weeks, from planning how and when to decorate the clinic to finding ways to improve our practice members’ experience.

My favourite part about working at the clinics is our wonderful team and practice members. I love how everyone comes in with a smile and a story to share.

Steph

Integrator

Meet Steph

Hi, I’m Steph. I’m Tom’s integrator, which means when he has an idea to improve or change the clinic, I make a plan and put it all into action.

I started out as one of the Chiropractic Assistants in 2015, then became one of the first Chiropractic Technicians before moving into my current role. I’ve been receiving chiropractic care regularly for around 10 years, and I love how beneficial it is to my overall health. It gives me so much energy, which is essential as I have a very lively dog and a little boy at home who need plenty of exercise and entertainment!

I absolutely love working here—the team is amazing.

Lucy

Head of Events & Social Media co-ordinator

Meet

Hi, I’m Lucy. I joined the Goose team in 2022, starting in the marketing department. Now, I also manage The Gaggle and organise all our events, both inside and outside the centre. I absolutely love working with our amazing team, though as the social media coordinator, they’re often dodging me and the camera!

Gill

Manager

Meet Gill

My name is Gill, and I’m one of the clinic managers. Along with my late husband Rob, we helped our son Tom open Goose Lane Clinic in 2013. We are incredibly fortunate to have an amazing team of staff who truly care about improving our practice members’ well-being. Although I mainly work in the upstairs office, I look forward to seeing you in the clinic.

Izzy

Chief belly scratch requester

Meet

This is Izzy, and she belongs to Tom and Becky. She loves nothing more than running into the clinic and saying hello to everyone, especially if there are fusses or treats to be had. She knows exactly where to stand if you’re lying on the bench and will often come over to say hi.

Izzy is exceptionally friendly, but we understand that not everyone feels the same way about dogs as we do. If you’re more of a cat or goldfish person, just let us know, and we’ll make a note on your file to ensure she’s safely tucked away in the office during your visit.
